Job Overview We are looking for a motivated and client-focused Utility Bill Management Specialist to join our team. This mid-level role sits at the intersection of client services and technical delivery, responsible for guiding clients through the onboarding and implementation of our utility bill management platform and serving as their primary point of contact throughout the ongoing relationship. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in the energy and utility space, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences. Responsibilities and Duties Implementation & Onboarding<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Lead end-to-end client implementations, including discovery, data migration, system configuration, and go-live support</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Develop and execute transition plans that ensure a smooth handoff from legacy processes or prior vendors</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Serve as the primary communication liaison for clients during implementation, providing regular status updates and proactively managing risks or delays</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Coordinate internally with technical, operations, and data teams to meet client timelines and requirements</li></ul>Client Relationship Management<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Act as the ongoing face of the client relationship post-implementation, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day needs and strategic conversations</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Build trusted, long-term partnerships with key client stakeholders at all levels</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to assess performance, communicate value, and surface opportunities for improvement</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend solutions or process enhancements</li></ul>Utility Bill Management Delivery<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of utility bill processing for assigned client accounts</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Identify and escalate billing discrepancies, utility rate changes, or data quality issues</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Support clients in interpreting utility data, usage trends, and cost variance reporting</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Ensure adherence to client-specific requirements and service level agreements (SLAs)</li></ul> Qualifications Required<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or a related field</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">3–5 years of experience in utility bill management, energy services, or a related field</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles with responsibility for relationship management and communication</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Familiarity with utility billing processes, rate structures, and data formats (EDI, interval data, etc.)</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple clients and priorities simultaneously</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and engaging with client stakeholders</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort working in data-heavy environments</li></ul>Preferred<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Experience with utility bill management platforms or energy information systems</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Exposure to sustainability or energy efficiency reporting (ENERGY STAR, GHG accounting, etc.)</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Background in SaaS implementation or professional services delivery</li></ul>Benefits<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Health Plan includes HSA and FSA plans</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Paid time off and paid holidays</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">401K with employer match</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">Competitive salary with significant bonus opportunities</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;">40-50 hours/week</li></ul>
