Founded in 1960, we specialize in the design of corporate, education, government, hospitality, mixed-use, office, residential, retail, science + technology, and transit projects across the United States and globally.</p><p>Our work is centered on making life better by creating meaningful, functional, and inspiring places that connect people and communities.</p><p><strong>OVERVIEW:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator to join our Charlotte office and play a key role in supporting business development strategy, pursuit planning, and marketing efforts. This position goes beyond proposal production to serve as a strategic support partner to firm and studio leadership as they build relationships, identify opportunities, and position the firm for growth.</p><p>Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Senior Marketing Coordinator will work closely with studio leadership, principals, and marketing managers to help implement business development strategies, support client and market research, contribute to pursuit planning, and develop compelling materials that advance Cooper Carry’s position in key markets.</p><p>While the primary focus of this role is internal strategy support and pursuit execution, the Senior Marketing Coordinator may also attend select industry events, conferences, and client meetings when appropriate to support relationship-building efforts, capture follow-up items, and help translate business development activity into actionable marketing and pursuit strategies.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong editorial and communication skills, and is motivated to support the relationship-building, strategy, and storytelling efforts that help win work.</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>The Senior Marketing Coordinator will manage the following responsibilities and others as needed:</p><ul><li>Partner with firm and studio leadership to support business development strategies that strengthen client relationships, expand market presence, and create new opportunities for the Charlotte office and key market sectors.</li><li>Collaborate with studio leadership to develop pursuit strategies, key messages, and win themes.</li><li>Lead coordination, design, and production of RFP/RFQ responses, interview presentations, and other pursuit-related materials.</li><li>Conduct thorough quality reviews and provide advanced editing to ensure materials are clear, compelling, strategic, and error-free.</li><li>Ensure pursuit materials align with Cooper Carry’s brand, voice, editorial standards, and business development goals.</li><li>Attend select industry events, conferences, and client meetings when appropriate to support firm leadership and help capture key takeaways, next steps, and relationship-building opportunities.</li><li>Help maintain and organize business development information, including client intelligence, project information, pursuit data, and CRM updates.</li><li>Support Marketing Managers in managing the full proposal lifecycle, including coordinating assignments with technical staff and teaming partners.</li><li>Serve as a resource on proposal processes and tools best practices, helping to guide and mentor others as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or business development (AEC industry experience preferred).</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, architecture or a related field preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of business development support, pursuit strategy, proposal development, and client relationship-building in a professional services environment.</li><li>Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp attention to detail.</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced experience in InDesign.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li><li>Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and offices.</li><li>Deltek Vision | VantagePoint and Hubspot CRMs experience are a plus</li></ul><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></p><p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong>:</p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
