Job Description:

We are seeking highly experienced Snowflake Data Architect who combines deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing and consulting skills.

This role will support both pre-sales engagements and project delivery, helping customers design modern cloud data platforms while working closely with account executives, delivery teams, and technology partners.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving business problems, presenting solutions to executives, conducting technical workshops, and mentoring engineering teams.

  • Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Cloud Data Platforms.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture (40%)

  • Partner with Sales and Account Executives during customer pursuits.
  • Lead discovery workshops to understand customer data strategy and business objectives.
  • Design modern data platform architectures centered around Snowflake.
  • Create solution architecture diagrams, estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs), and implementation of roadmaps.
  • Present technical solutions to customer architects, IT leadership, and executives.
  • Demonstrate Snowflake capabilities including:
    • AI Data Cloud
    • Cortex AI
    • Native Apps
    • Data Sharing
    • Marketplace
    • Governance
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, and proposal responses.
  • Work closely with Snowflake account teams on joint customer opportunities.


Solution Delivery & Technical Leadership (60%)

  • Lead architecture and implementation of enterprise Snowflake solutions.
  • Define enterprise data architecture, standards, and best practices.
  • Design scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Build ingestion frameworks using modern ELT/ETL patterns.
  • Design:
    • Medallion Architecture
    • Data Vault
    • Dimensional Models
    • Data Mesh concepts
    • Domain-oriented architectures
  • Implement data governance, security, masking, RBAC, and compliance.
  • Guide engineering teams through implementation.
  • Review architecture, code, and performance optimization.
  • Mentor Data Engineers and technical leads.

 

Experience Requirements

  • Hands-on experience leading at least 2–3 end-to-end enterprise Snowflake implementations from architecture through production deployment.
  • Experience migrating data platforms from traditional data warehouses (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Netezza, etc.) to Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable Snowflake architectures for enterprise customers.
  • Experience building production-grade ELT/ETL pipelines, data models, and analytics platforms on Snowflake.
  • Experience with performance tuning, workload optimization, security, governance, and cost optimization in production Snowflake environments.
  • Experience participating in customer-facing architecture discussions, discovery workshops, and solution design.
  • Consulting or Systems Integrator (SI) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, BI Developers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring technical teams and providing architectural guidance.

 

Preferred Experience

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in at least two or more of the following:

  • Enterprise Data Warehouse modernization.
  • Cloud migration to Snowflake.
  • Data Lake/Lakehouse implementations.
  • Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Data Governance and Catalog solutions.
  • AI/ML or Generative AI solutions leveraging Snowflake Cortex.
  • Data Sharing and Data Marketplace implementations
