[Remote] Associate, Cyber Operations, Cloud Security
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Cyber Operations, Cloud Security to join our Enterprise Security Services organization. The role involves monitoring and responding to events from cloud security platforms, developing governance frameworks, and conducting incident response activities to enhance the firm's security posture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and response to events from enterprise cloud security (CSPM/CNAPP) platforms (for example, Wiz, Defender for Cloud, and more)
- Aid in developing cloud security governance frameworks, policies, support the automation of cloud security capabilities, and work closely with the other cloud administration operational teams
- Conduct response activities which may include incident response, incident management, driving remediation or threat mitigation, threat hunting, and more; other security activities may include identification of weakness (for example, vulnerabilities, IT policy non-compliance, insecure configurations)
- Stay abreast of the latest information security controls, practices, techniques, and capabilities in cybersecurity; participate in internal skills development activities for information security personnel on the topic of security monitoring and incident response, by providing knowledge sharing sessions; incorporate learnings into additional preventive and detective controls
- Document processes and procedures in the form of playbooks and reference guides; Provide rotational weekend coverage
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Skills
- Minimum one year of recent analytical experience with familiarity in cloud security operations and platforms
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
- Ability to quickly learn security products, tools, and processes to assist in advancing the firm's security posture
- Ideal applicant will be a curious self-starter with a strong aptitude for creative and critical thinking
- Ability to independently explore and understand complex data, identify key insights, and weave them into compelling narratives that effectively influence and persuade stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical risks to senior executives and build strong cross-functional relationships
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Familiarity in cloud security operations and platforms (Wiz preferred)
- Interest in pursuing professional certifications or vendor specific products, as required for the role
