This role operates as a fully proficient individual contributor, responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing mobile applications that improve customer experience, system reliability, and delivery efficiency. <br/><br/>The position partners with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA engineers, and technical peers to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions. This role emphasizes Android mobile development and QA automation, leveraging modern DevOps practices and AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity, strengthen testing practices, and support consistent, reliable software delivery. <br/><br/><strong>Job Functions: </strong><br/><br/><ul><li>Application Development & Delivery <br/><br/><ul><li>Design, develop, and enhance Android mobile applications in cloud-based and distributed environments </li><li>Deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code aligned to enterprise engineering standard</li><li>Integrate mobile applications with backend services and RESTful APIs</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects, performance issues, and production incidents</li></ul><br/><br/> Test Automation & Quality Engineering <br/><br/><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, and UI) </li><li>Improve release quality and confidence through automation and continuous testing practices</li><li>Partner with QA to ensure strong test coverage and defect prevention strategies </li></ul><br/><br/>DevOps & Continuous Delivery <br/><br/><ul><li>Contribute to CI/CD pipelines including build automation, testing, and deployment </li><li>Support monitoring, observability, and production stability of mobile applications</li><li>Apply secure coding practices and data protection standards </li></ul><br/><br/>Technical Design & Collaboration <br/><br/><ul><li>Translate business requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans </li><li>Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to design decisions within the team</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including estimation and sprint planning</li><li>Provide informal guidance and support to less experienced developers</li></ul><br/><br/> Continuous Improvement & Innovation <br/><br/><ul><li>Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, testing efficiency, and delivery speed </li><li>Identify and implement opportunities to improve development processes and engineering practices </li><li>Stay current with mobile technologies, frameworks, and industry trends</li><li>Supports broader team and enterprise goals by proactively contributing to initiatives outside of core responsibilities.</li></ul></li></ul><br/><br/><strong>Experience and Qualifications: </strong><br/><br/><ul><li>5+ years' experience </li><li>Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to improve developer efficiency and code quality </li></ul><br/><br/><strong>Skills and Physical Demands: </strong><br/><br/><ul><li>Proficiency in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java </li><li>Experience with mobile test automation frameworks </li><li>Experience delivering and supporting customer-facing mobile applications </li><li>Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services </li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices </li><li>Strong understanding of software design patterns and engineering best practices </li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum teams </li><li>Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Tabnine, or similar) </li></ul><br/> #LI-Remote</div>
