SteerBridge Strategies is seeking experienced Medical Supply Technicians (MST) to support the Sterile Processing Service at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System . This vital role ensures reusable medical devices and surgical instruments are sterilized to the highest standards, directly impacting patient safety and quality of care. What You’ll Do: Perform decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of reusable medical devices (RMD) and surgical instruments Operate autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilization equipment Ensure compliance with infection control, safety procedures, and sterilization standards Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain availability of sterile instruments for inpatient, outpatient, and community care settings Support ongoing quality control, recordkeeping, and equipment maintenance What We’re Looking For: U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check Minimum of 2 years of recent sterile processing or medical supply experience in a hospital or healthcare facility Strong understanding of sterilization, decontamination, and infection control processes Experience in VA healthcare environments is a plus High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Great benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO, and paid federal holidays Join a mission-driven team where Veterans lead and integrity drives results.
