LOGISTICS/GENERAL MANAGER III

Overview

Lead, implement and oversee execution of site strategies, processes, and systems to increase site productivity, safety and associate engagement. Develop leaders to meet current and future business needs. Drive site performance, operating efficiency and customer satisfaction. Lead and improve the site execution as it relates to Full, Fresh, and Friendly. Work in an ever-changing environment that drives strategic thinking with detailed execution and cross functional collaboration across the network. Responsibilities Lead, implement and oversee execution of site strategies, processes, and systems to enhance productivity, safety and associate engagement. Develop leaders to meet current and future business needs. Drive site performance, operating efficiency and customer satisfaction. Lead site execution for Full, Fresh, and Friendly initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally across the network and adapt to an evolving environment with strategic thinking and detailed execution. Qualifications Minimum : Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience; 7+ years of senior operational leadership in logistics or manufacturing with P&L experience; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a team and develop others; excellent written, oral and presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and peers; strong follow-up and accountability skills; strong critical thinking and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from data and apply insights to business decisions. Ability to travel independently to other site locations; must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Desired : 4+ years of experience managing in eCommerce or retail operations; 4+ years as a general manager in a Kroger Supply Chain or similar company in the food industry. Lead site of high-level complexity to align the business, people and safety practices to achieve key metrics; apply knowledge of current technologies, regulations and vendor/supplier dynamics; develop, manage, and coordinate transportation including final mile costs. Utilize measurement tools and data analytics to deliver the overall business plan; collaborate with retail partners, Kroger Technology, and marketing to improve service and maximize sales and market potential. Serve as site representative with government agencies/NGOs, suppliers, and vendors; prepare annual operating budgets; maintain site SQR levels at corporate standards. Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of all company systems and processes; strategically manage workforce needs and develop top talent with succession planning; supervise and coach direct reports and conduct performance reviews.
