Licensed Massage Therapy Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services to promote relaxation, relieve pain, and enhance clients' overall well-being. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports) tailored to clients’ needs and preferences.
- Assess clients’ medical histories and conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure comfort during sessions.
- Maintain accurate client records, including session notes and treatment plans.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices through continuing education.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to provide holistic care when necessary.
- Promote services and products to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications
- Valid state or national massage therapy license/certification.
- Completion of an accredited massage therapy program (minimum 500 hours of training).
- Proficiency in multiple massage modalities (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality with clients.
- Physical stamina to perform multiple sessions daily.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- Liability insurance (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional massage therapy experience (preferred but not required for newly licensed candidates).
- Experience working in a spa, clinic, or wellness center is a plus.
