HUMAN RESOURCE EXECUTIVE

  1. Establish Personnel policies and procedures and supervise implementation and interpretation of same.
  2. Application of provision of local Labour Legislation Governing Employment etc.
  3. Liaison with Ministry of labour, other related Government Bodies and other sources of manpower supply.
  4. Set personnel policies for the Hotel and apply and enforce as found in employee’s handbook.
  5. Supervising staff and their work. Ensure that proper recording and filing is done in systematic way
  6. Establish good external relationship with people and organisations essential for effective operation of work of department or Hotel.
  7. Deal with each employee fairly and with respect for his personal integrity and human dignity
  8. Treat each employees as an important and productive person in the company
  9. Ensuring that the working condition is condusive and is consistent with the requirements of sound occupational health
  10. Organise programmes and practices which will contribute to promoting sound employer employee relationship
  11. To adopt reward and punishment system consistent with the Hotel’s requirements to maintain sound discipline and health morale
  12. Ensure the wages and fringe benefits preparation and authorised deductions are properly administered
  13. Ensure that wages calculation and deductions on payroll Tax, Employees Provident Fund Contribution etc, complies with statutory requirements
  14. Counseling of employees and dealings with employee’s union and union representatives
  15. Prepare and negotiate for negotiations with the trade unions on claims submitted
  16. Represent Hotel at labour conciliation and Arbitration Court proceedings at the Ministry of Labour and the Industrial Court for cases to be heard
  17. Act as liaison officer for the Hotel with local government, industrial and other organisations on industrial relation and employment matters
  18. Establish and administer the welfare scheme eg: Group Medical Insurance Plan, Group Personal Accident Insurance Plan, SOCSO etc

  19. Visit hospitalised employees
  20. Establish and personlise interest on employee’s domestic activities eg: marriage, birth of children, anniversaries, demise etc.
  21. Recognition of employee’s services through Long Service Awards
  22. Establish and supervise canteen facilities and services
  23. Encourage inter-department participation in social and recreational activities at all levels
  24. Organise friendly competitions on social recreational activities between the Company’s employees and employees of other companies, associates and clubs
  25. Advise of safety precautions and measures required in accordance with the Factories Act, Environmental Act, etc.
  26. Establish closer rapport and working relationships with Factory Inspectorate National Health & Safety Council etc.

  27. Administer SOCSO
  28. Ensure proper lighting, work space ventilation, anti-pollution, environment control etc.
  29. Identify and analyse training and development needs in the company and respond accordingly
  30. Plan, organise and conduct fortnightly orientation for new staff
  31. Implement and review training and development policies and procedures to ensure that they are relevant
  32. Design and develop training courses and materials for Hotel’s use
  33. Evaluate all training courses to ensure that they are effective
  34. To perform any other duties assigned from time to time
