Freelance Talent Sourcer (Creative, Social & Marketing)
Title:
Freelance Talent Sourcer (Creative, Social & Marketing)
Job Description:
We are an urban tennis and racquet sports apparel brand. We build lean, moving fast with high aesthetic standards and an execution-first mindset.
We are looking for a scrappy, high-signal Freelance Talent Sourcer to help us recruit for project-based and contract roles across Social Media, Creative Direction, and Marketing.
Our candidate pool will range from experienced industry professionals down to hungry, ambitious college interns—and we need someone who knows how to find, vet, and engage talent at both ends of that spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full-Spectrum Talent Sourcing: Proactively source both seasoned freelance pros (Creative Directors, Growth Strategists) and promising college interns/entry-level talent (Social Media, Content Creation, Marketing Assistants).
* Vetting for "Scrappiness": Look beyond polished resumes. Find candidates who take initiative, solve problems independently, and have a proven ability to figure things out on a startup budget.
* Portfolio & Track Record Review: Evaluate creative decks, past campaign results, aesthetic fit, and social media track records before presenting options to the team.
* Contract & Internship Structuring: Help evaluate availability, project rates, and realistic deliverables for both high-level freelancers and hourly or credit-based interns.
* Pipeline Management: Maintain a simple, low-friction tracker (Notion, Airtable, or Sheets) so we can review shortlists, view portfolios, and move fast on strong talent.
Qualifications:
* Recruiting Versatility: Proven track record sourcing both high-level industry contractors and early-career/college intern talent.
* Eye for Aesthetics & Brand: Deep understanding of DTC, apparel, streetwear, or sports lifestyle culture. You know what good storytelling and contemporary creative look like.
* Resourceful Sourcing Network: Experience pulling candidates from platforms like Working Not Working, Contra, Behance, LinkedIn, university career portals, or social media networks.
* Zero Fluff: You appreciate speed, clear communication, and low operational friction. You don't need a heavy corporate recruiting infrastructure to find great people.
Roles We Will Be Filling Together:
1. Creative Direction (Contract): Campaign shoots, visual identity, art direction, and brand positioning.
2. Social Media & Content (Freelance & Interns): Native content creation, organic social channel management, short-form video execution, and community engagement.
3. Marketing & Strategy (Contract & Interns): DTC launch strategies, email/SMS execution, growth campaigns, and event/community activations.
How to Apply:
1. Share a brief overview of your background sourcing freelance and intern talent in fashion, consumer goods, or creative media.
2. Tell us about a time you found an exceptionally scrappy, high-performing candidate through an unconventional channel.
3. What is your hourly rate or project fee structure?
