About the role
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe System Automation Engineer with strong expertise in IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS), NetView, GDPS-CA, and REXX programming for a long-term remote freelance contract.

7+ years of experience with Mainframe z/OS
Strong experience with IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS)
Hands-on experience with IBM NetView and GDPS-CA
Strong REXX programming skills
Experience with PIPES programming
Knowledge of JCL, TSO, ISPF
Experience with IBM Utilities (IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, etc.)
Ability to automate operational processes and troubleshoot complex issues
Strong documentation and communication skills Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and support IBM System Automation for z/OS
Support NetView and GDPS-CA environments
Develop automation solutions using REXX and PIPES
Work with infrastructure and application teams to automate operational processes
Participate in production support and on-call rotation
