District Manager – Interventional Glaucoma, Eye Care
Job Description:
- responsible for leading a team to promote AbbVie’s Xen Gel stent within the refractory glaucoma market
- oversee all aspects of managing the district’s sales results while overseeing the interviewing, selection, and development of Account Consultants on their team
- manage the district’s customer facing activities for developing and maintaining relationships with strict adherence to compliance principles
- provide support to franchise short- and long-term strategy, tactical execution, promotional initiatives and meeting or exceeding region and business unit goals
- consistently attain growth and market share goals while managing the area operation within expense guidelines
- provide leadership and direction for all colleagues
- responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing and performance management for the assigned district
- engage in coaching and counseling to develop innovative selling and account management skills
- lead sales direction across the region
- demonstrate the ability to execute marketing plans
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
- MBA Preferred
- Sales and sales leadership experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of Healthcare, buy and bill, or device experience is required
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Collaborates and can influence without authority across organizations
- Ability to articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas
- Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance
- Ability to develop talent for promotional opportunities
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement

- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to travel a minimum of 75% adequately to cover territory, as well as overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
- An essential requirement for this position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities.
