Gasoline Bulk Tanker Driver Position Requirements:
  • CDL A Driver with Minimum 1 year of Tractor Trailer experience.
  • Endorsements: Tanker & Hazmat
  • Required: TWIC Card
  • Required: Clean CDL and Medical Card.
  • No prior Gasoline Experience necessary; paid training offered.
  • Union Medical/Dental, Pension & Company 401k Plan.

Offered a Steady Schedule of 5 days with 6 day options to work under full DOT HOS regulations. Two consecutive days off and home daily. New Equipment and growing business.

ISLAND TRANSPORTATION ( is the premier bulk hazmat hauler in the Tri-State Area. We are looking for Qualified Drivers to join our Local Terminal and work in a safe and timely manner.

> We run 2 shifts Day and Afternoon - Example: Start 1am Day or Start 3pm Afternoon.

> Union Position with Guaranteed Pay Scales and Raises.

2025 Top pay scale is $38.00/hr (includes safety bonus) with 3 YRS prior gasoline experience.
Starting Pay $35.00/hr with bonus. Pay Raises at 12, 24, 36 months. CT drives are paid $1.00 less than scale.

Requirements -CDL A Driver with 1 year Tractor Trailer experience.

>>Tanker Endorsement.
>>HAZMAT Endorsement.
>>TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card)

Must have Clean CDL and Medical Card.

No prior Gasoline Experience necessary; we provide paid training.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects, accidents or violations'
  • Transport gasoline from Local Terminal to Local Gas Stations.
  • Pre Trip/ Post Trip Inspection - proper proof of delivery
  • Compliance with Local/State/Federal DOT Rules and Regulations
