Job Description The Procurement Strategic Sourcing Manager has responsibility for support of the thermal businesses and products and will secure long-term total quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of direct material supply throughout the total product lifecycle. Essential Duties: <ul><li>Responsible for all supplier commercial relationships within the assigned business areas, securing targeted levels of cost, quality, delivery, sustainability, and supply continuity.</li><li>Develop and implement assigned Supplier strategies that meet internal and external customer demands.</li><li>Support new product development activities across the business unit by setting supplier strategies, managing costs to meet product margin goals, and helping to launch product to mass production.</li><li>Complete and manage the lifecycle of supplier contracts including corporate agreements, annual pricing negotiations and awards, payment terms, and inventory.</li><li>Develop and align Supplier technical roadmaps in partnership with Sales and Engineering.</li><li>In working with sites, is responsible for supplier performance and rating based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Quality, Delivery, and Cost.</li><li>Drive Supplier and spend consolidation across multiple sites within the NA region in alignment with corporate goals and direction.</li><li>Find, assess, and develop new Suppliers as needed in accordance with corporate direction and in alignment with Sales and Engineering.</li><li>In working with sites, assess and complete Purchase Price Variance (PPV) activities including budgeting, forecasting, and reducing PPV impact to the business.</li><li>Support sites on a when-needed basis to ensure critical customer service levels are maintained through supplier escalation, alternate sourcing, secondary sourcing.</li><li>Ability to travel internationally to support development and launch activities.</li></ul> Qualifications (Education and Experience): Required<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field</li><li>Minimum 5 years of business or procurement experience</li><li>Experience negotiating with suppliers in a low volume manufacturing business.</li><li>Background in electronic (printed circuit board assembly, wire/cable assemblies, controls, semiconductors) and thermal (pumps, fans, compressors) components.</li></ul> Desired<ul><li>Experience with metal fabrication technologies is a plus.</li><li>Master’s Degree in business</li><li>Leadership and change management experience</li><li>Previous experience in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience in international supply chain management, incoterms, and landed costs</li><li>Second language ideal</li></ul>Skills and Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): Required<ul><li>Extensive knowledge of the procurement environment to be able to analyze business issues, recommend solutions and strategies and implement change</li><li>Strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application (e.g. fact based negotiations and cross functional team collaboration)</li><li>Strong knowledge of assigned categories</li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively manage strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance improvement, development, and integration</li><li>Demonstrated understanding the importance of customer service and internal stakeholder management</li><li>Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills, including an understanding of legal terms and conditions</li><li>Strong analytical skills, including a demonstrated ability to synthesize, interpret, and communicate market and competitive data</li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple organizations and develop high-quality working internal and external relationships</li><li>Flexibility and able to adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment with unexpected issues or events</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary company information</li><li>Ability to travel up to 50% to domestic and/or international sites as required</li></ul> Interview Requirements and Candidate Privacy Notice All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
